Oxford Garden Products

who we are
Robert Longstaff Workshops, pioneers of laser-cut designs in wood since 1987, introduce Oxford Garden Products, a totally new way of approaching garden features such as obelisks, columns, pergolas, planters, treillage and screens.

the techniques we employ
Taking full advantage of the latest Computer Aided Design technology and our twenty five years of laser-cutting experience, Oxford Garden Products offer the chance for imaginative gardeners and designers to customise or commission their own obelisks and garden structures as well as choose from our huge range of styles and designs. The detail and finesse of laser-cutting allows ideas that were previously impossible to become fully realised. Cutting by laser melts the resin which binds the material, sealing the edge, making the structure inherently waterproof compared to other methods such as routing.

customising and bespoke work
As our products are designed and manufactured in-house, we can modify a product to your specifications. We can also provide a completely customised design for any special or personal projects.

the materials we use
We use a fibreboard created by bonding wood fibre into a waterproof resin. Fully FSC© approved, this material is suitable for withstanding the rigors of a garden environment, especially when painted. Each product is cut from a single sheet for increased durability and strength.
Mirrored acrylic or translucent sheeting can be added to some designs.
Mirrored acrylic has all the properties of a traditional mirror, but is suitable for the outdoors, shatter-proof, easily wiped clean and can be drilled for wall mounting. Translucent sheeting allows light to diffuse through the panel whilst maintaining privacy and giving shelter.

the finish we offer
Our products can be supplied ready coated in a choice of eleven standard colours or in their natural unfinished state for you to paint using any exterior garden paint. For an extra charge we can offer a choice from hundreds of colours or match an existing colour. Although the structures are inherently waterproof, painting will enhance appearance and increase longevity.
